Servers Help Dishwashers
A four-panel cartoon in a restaurant. Top-left shows a blond woman server saying she has two tables to take care of. Top-right shows a dark-haired woman server saying she let the help you. Bottom-left shows a blond dishwasher with a beard looking worried with text “Ready to die tonight?” Bottom-right shows the same dishwasher with a beard nodding with text “Yes.”
Use this when
- –a server volunteers to help another server and then the dishwasher ends up doing the extra work
- –posting when management adds more tables and your coworkers shift the workload onto dishwashing
- –responding to someone who says they’ll help but the people doing the hardest part get stuck with it
- –when a coworker offers to “take care of it” and you know the kitchen staff will be the ones overwhelmed
- –making a meme about restaurant staffing where help requests translate into more work for dishwashers
